About Andrew Davis

Davis joined Massport in 2008 as Airport Director Worcester Regional Airport after a 26 year career with American Airlines. During his time with American, he developed a wealth of aviation management experience both in Operations and Staff Level positions, including positions at a wide variety of airports from as small as Eagle/Vail, CO to as large as Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. He held management positions at 10 airports throughout the country including Boston, Providence, Hartford/Springfield, Stewart/Newburgh, and assisted American with start up operations in an additional 12 cities. He was also an active member in several airport associations including Airport Management, Security, Cargo, Airfield Safety, and Government Relations.

Prior to his career with American, Davis was an active member of the RI Wing of Civil Air Patrol and attended Hawthorne College in NH, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Business Administration and Aviation Management. As President of the Student Government, Davis received Hawthorne’s Damaree Award for outstanding senior, and was inducted into “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities”.

As Director of Worcester Regional Airport, Davis is responsible for day to day operations, as well as developing the airport to its fullest potential, including the promotion of both commercial and general aviation. Davis sees a great deal of potential with Worcester Regional Airport. A modern passenger terminal suitable for both narrowbody and regional jet aircraft, and several acres of developable land makes the airport well-positioned for supporting aviation growth in the region. Davis also participates in and serves on the boards of Worcester Regional Research Bureau, Discover Central Massachusetts and Corridor 9/495 Chamber of Commerce. He is also an active participant in several area Business and Trade Associations.
