The Auburn Chamber of Commerce is honoring local businesses in its Third Annual “Best of Auburn” Business Contest. For many years the Chamber has honored local businesses in its “Best Dressed” Business Awards, however, the Chamber wanted to expand the awards to include a much more comprehensive “Best of Auburn” Business Contest. A total of 27 businesses were honored this year, including four “Best Dressed” Business Awards.
2011 Awards were given out at the Chamber’s “Awards Breakfast,” held on October 11 at the Pakachoag Church in Auburn. Winners included:

- Best Dinner Location – Chuck’s Steak House
- Best Stand Alone Coffee Location – Dunkin Donuts, 386 Southbridge Street (Across from Auburn Mall)
- Best Cultural Organization – Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester
- Best Bank – Webster Five Cents Savings Bank
- Best Credit Union – Millbury Federal Credit Union
- Best Car Dealer/New – Lundgren Honda
- Best Car Dealer/Used – Herb Chambers of Auburn, Inc.
- Best Family Fun Destination – Crystal Caves
- Best Fitness Facility – Auburn Yoga & Pilates Center
- Best Teaching Facility – Auburn Yoga & Pilates Center
- Best Salon/Day Spa – Teree Salon & Spa
- Best Retail Location – TJ Maxx
- Best Insurance Agency – Winchester Insurance Agency
- Best Nursery/Garden Center/Florist/Floral Arrangements – Bells Lawn & Garden Center
- Best Travel Agency – AAA Southern New England
- Best Real Estate Agency – Emerson Realtors
- Best Hotel/Motel – Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites
- Best Shopping Plaza/Mall – Auburn Mall
- Best Gas Station – Kane Shell & Foodmart
- Most Civic Minded Business Owner – Gabe Simon, Owner, Dunkin Donuts, 717 Southbridge Street
- Best Dressed Business Award – Retail Category – Auburn Mall
- Best Dressed Business Award – Manufacturing Category – Aimtek, Inc.
- Best Dressed Business Award – Service/Professional Office Category -Britton Funeral Homes, Inc.
- Best Dressed Business Award – Municipal/Civic Organization Category – Auburn Historical Museum
